This job has primary responsibility for scheduling and dispatching aggregate deliveries Company-wide. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments, compiling statistics and reporting on work progress. Provides customer service face to face interaction and over the phone. Tickets and weighs trucks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Assist with scheduling and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.
Advise personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards.
Answering the phone.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
Receive or prepare work orders.
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and field inspectors using telephones or two-way radios.
Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
Assist in making sure scale house is kept clean and organized.

Work schedule is expected to be 40-50 hours per week during summer months with some Saturday shifts required.

The work schedule will vary depending on weather and other factors impacting the construction industry.
Typical hours during the Production Season is 7am-5pm M-F and about every 3rd Saturday 8am-12pm.
