Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is now hiring for home-based, on-call Crisis Staff to provide coverage in the Sheldon area. Crisis Staff provide short-term crisis intervention to youth, families, and adults experiencing an emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric crisis. They assess, prioritize, and triage the urgency of a crisis intervention needed, and work closely with law enforcement, schools, and other medical providers to stabilize acute or crisis situations, as well as connect the individual with continuing services based on their needs, strengths, and preferences. Our crisis services are provided both over the phone and face-to-face in the community.
These individuals will be able to work from their homes as part of a team to cover our 24/7 crisis phone line and respond to mobile crisis calls in O’Brien, Lyon, and Osceola counties as needed. A variety of weekend shifts are available, including the ability to work every weekend or every other weekend. Shifts are typically 8 or 16 hours.
Eligible applicants must have one or more of the following:
- a bachelor’s degree in a human services field
- a law enforcement officer with 2+ years’ experience
- an EMT with 2+ years’ experience
- a peer support specialist with 1+ year experience
- an RN with 1+ year experience
- a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field with 5 years’ experience and/or a Master’s Degree is preferred
Other requirements include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. This position involves frequent travel and mileage is reimbursed accordingly.
