Kahill’s Chophouse is looking for a great person with an upbeat personality and a passion for cooking to join our team as a Cook for our restaurant.
A Cook is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in kitchen operations. S/he will train and motivate staff to exceed goals. With a focus on quality and production levels, and exceeding customers’ expectations in their dining experience.
Cook Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in cooking dishes by following recipes
- Overseeing quality control of all food production and execution
- Ensuring all health department standards are upheld by enforcing high sanitation standards
- Promote accident prevention to minimize liabilities and related expenses
- Assists Operations team in execution and setting up Banquet events
Qualifications for the Cook:
- 3-5 years of experience as a cook setting is preferred
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 lbs.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure the accomplishment of goals
- Flexible availability to include weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
- Available with a flexible schedule to cover call-ins to work as required
- Safety Training and Certification (if none, we will provide training)
