POSITION SUMMARYThe Client Financial Specialist will provide general maintenance and essential risk management on customer accounts. This position requires patience and care to handle incoming customer calls and a problem-solver mentality to resolve issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Account Maintenance 45%
- Provide support & guidance to branch personnel regarding customer accounts.
- Process and verify daily return and overdraft items, including deposited items returned and stop-pay requests.
- Process ATM/Debit card activity such as file processing, new card setup, new card creation, disputes, pin resets, and card fraud prevention.
- Adjust customer accounts and answer inquiries about errors, as part of the error resolution process.
- Research and make entries to resolve all posting exceptions and adjustments.
- Research account history as needed, which may include general ledger, bank owned, or customer owned accounts.
System Processing 45%
- Review and verify incoming and outgoing bank and customer wires for correctness and accuracy with a risk-based approach.
- Responsible for all aspects of Internet Banking, Bill Pay and Remote Deposit.
- Perform entire Automatic Clearing House (ACH) process.
- Ensure compliance with all operating policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work processes with all bank personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Reconcile and balance various accounts, which may include general ledger, bank owned, or customer owned accounts.
Customer Service 10%
- Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communication with customers.
- Actively listening to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions.
- Assist bank personnel and customers in resolving problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Ability to learn and use the Bank's PC hardware and software; in addition to being proficient in Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Ability to perform basic math; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers and other employees.
- Interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals, entity documents, security agreements, real estate mortgages, and other commercial loan documents.
- Demonstrate strong oral/communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors.
- Ability to effectively manage one's time to complete work according to established deadlines. The ability to prioritize tasks and use time efficiently.
- Ability to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.
- Regard for important details to assure accuracy in every transaction performed, detect errors, and follow through on corrections and detail.
- Responsible for knowing and following Bank Security Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Must have flexibility to deal with changing work hours.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- Associate's degree required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in similar job duties
